Mentoring

Mizzou Engineering undergraduate students will be matched up with alumni in the same or similar majors. Communication is expected to take place via email. The goal of this program is to provide students another view of their major.

Shadow an engineer

Alumni may host a Mizzou Engineering student at their place of employment for a day. The goal is to expose students to industry and opportunities to interact with professionals in engineering. Match criteria will be determined by majors and location logistics. Shadowing will take place during breaks (summer, spring, winter).

Alumni speakers on campus

We are interested in inviting successful alumni visit current students to share their experiences. Alumni may be asked to address student organizations (NSBE,SHPE, AISES) or diversity functions.

Prospective Students

Alumni may interact with high school students in their city or town. Local HS students who express interest in Mizzou Engineering will be invited to these events.

Championing / referring internship applications

The Diversity in Engineering collects resumes of our students. We will work in collaboration with alumni in industry in order to provide opportunities to Mizzou Engineering students.
