RE: Lafferre Hall Air Handler Maintenance
Lafferre Hall air handlers #8 and #4 will undergo maintenance tomorrow morning (1-May-08) from 8:00a to 12:00p. The air handlers provide room air circulation and the draft for the fumes hoods in the west 1991 addition (rooms beginning with a "W"), and rooms in the renovated center section (rooms also beginning with a "W" but in the older section of the building). The fume hoods in these areas will be non-operational during this period.

Lafferre Hall Water Outage
UPDATE:The water main that was to be worked on tomorrow morning has developed a major leak. Campus Facilities will start an emergency repair this afternoon starting at 2:00p (11-Apr-08). The scheduled water outage for tomorrow morning has been moved to this afternoon, and will continue until tomorrow evening at 6:00p.
Facilities apologizes for the inconvenience, but the leaks (this is the same line that broke yesterday) were unanticipated, and have required extensive repairs.

Water Outage Notification - Lafferre Hall - 1991 Addition
A water outage has been scheduled for Lafferre Hall - 1991 Addition starting Saturday, April 12 at 6:00 a.m. and turned back on at 6:00 p.m. the same day. This outage is necessary to allow a contractor to connect new water line associated with the Lafferre Hall Renovation Project. All water, including restrooms and fountains will be interrupted for the duration of the outage.This outage has been scheduled with the building coordinator to minimize disruptions to the activities in the building. In the interest of good communications however, we are alerting others who may have a need to know about this outage.

The west 1991 addition of Lafferre Hall (rooms beginning with a "W") will undergo a water outage tomorrow (12-Apr-08) from 6:00a to 6:00p. The outage is required for work to continue on the current building renovation project. Rooms in the center and east sections of the building should not be affected by the outage.

Lafferre Hall Water Outage

RE: Lafferre Hall Water Outage
The water main break that Lafferre Hall experienced yesterday has been repaired; however, as a result of that break we've experienced a failure of some equipment in our control room. That system will undergo an emergency repair tomorrow morning when parts arrive.
As such, we will experience another water outage tomorrow morning (11-Apr-08) from 8:00a to 12:00p (although it's anticipated the actual outage will be much less). This outage will affect only the 1991 west addition (rooms beginning with a "W").
I apologize for the need for the additional outage, but the stability and safety of our potable water requires that we repair this system as soon as possible. Please call me at the number below if you have any questions or concerns.
