Outreach Activities

The Nair Lab coordinates the following outreach activities

  • Tech4K-5
    • TECH4K-5 is a new program for elementary youth (4th and 5th grades) focusing on enlivening math and science using engineering. To achieve this we utilize a comparative theme of artificial (LEGO) and human (brain/human body) robotics.
  • MU LEGO Camps
    • The LEGO Robotics Camp is a chance for students to participate in individual and small-team design projects while fostering an understanding of the engineering design process.
  • MU STOMP
    • The Student Teacher Mentorship Outreach Program (collaboration with TUFTS University) offers support in the form of engineering resource persons (graduate/undergraduate student), and LEGO equipment + associated lesson plans/activities for interested teachers in the Mid-Missouri area, including rural schools, to start both in-class and after-school programs in their schools.
  • NSF GK-12 Program
  • Undergraduate Neuroscience Workshop
